Itinerary
Day: 1 Serengeti National Park (December, 6th)
You will be collected from your Hotel and driven to Arusha Airport to connect to your scheduled flight from Arusha to Kogatende Airstrip located in Northern Serengeti. You will be picked up from the Airstrip by a guide from Sayari Mara Tented Camp. After a 30 minute game drive to camp through stunning wilderness, you will arrive to settle in and have lunch. An intimate atmosphere pervades Sayari Camp’s eight guest tents. Sayari is Kiswahili for universe/planet. The name captures the vast plains and endless skies in which the camp is immersed.
After lunch you will enjoy the camp and following afternoon tea, take a game drive in surrounding areas, and then return to camp for early evening sundowners. In the lounge area situated in the mess tent, you can have a drink and enjoy the incredible beauty of overlooking miles of the best African nature. At night, be overwhelmed by the many stars whilst sitting next to the camp fire while you reflect on the best moments of the day. Our amicable staff will prepare you a sumptuous dinner you wouldn’t expect possible in the middle of the remote wilderness. The guest tents are spacious and comfortable with large king-size or twin beds and convenient bathrooms.

Day 2-4: Serengeti National Park / Mara River (December, 7th-9th)
Spend whole days of game viewing in and around the Mara River area. During one of these days you will have the opportunity to visit our community projects in the area. Organic vegetable growing is a project that we are currently looking at setting up and we hope will be ready by the time of your visit. You can also visit projects such as water improvement systems or schools.

Day 5: Zanzibar / North East Coast (December 10th)
After breakfast your guide will then take you to Kogatende airstrip and say farewell. If Arusha is your final stop then you will be transferred to your hotel or to the international airport for your onward flight home. If you choose the extension in Zanzibar you will be flown to Zanzibar. upon arrival in Zanzibar you will transfer to the North East Coast, to the beautiful Matemwe Lodge. From now on its time for relaxing and allowing the impressions of the vast African plains to be etched in your memory forever!

Day 6: Zanzibar / North East coast (December, 11th)
Enjoy your next few days of miles and miles of beach, time for exciting activities like diving and snorkelling or just plain relaxing. You can also visit Stonetown to enjoy a market or go on a Spice tour! We would also recommend a city tour through the old Arabic Stowntown with its small little streets and alleyways that are the essence of Zanzibar (extra costs)

Day 7: Zanzibar / Stone Town - Departure Tanzania (December 12th)
Today unfortunately is time to say goodbye to this beautiful country and hope that you have enjoyed your experience with us. You can either choose to spend the day relaxing at the beach or visit the hum of Stonetown, the capital of Zanzibar before departing after lunch.
You will be transferred to Zanzibar airport and leave for Dar-es-Salaam for your onward connecting flight.
